Punto Switcher is an application designed to switch keyboard layouts automatically. Switching occurs based on the analysis of character combinations characteristic of the language layout. For this, Punto Switcher uses dictionary databases with a volume of several million words. There is support for hotkeys that can be customized independently.
Key Features of Punto Switcher
In addition to the built-in dictionaries, to determine the correct layout in which the text is entered, you can enter your own words, abbreviations, and acronyms into the application. The switching rule will not work for them. In addition, Punto Switcher has the following functionality:
- • Switching the layout automatically, depending on the text being typed;
- • Ability to change system keys to switch the layout to your own;
- • Correction of selected text to another layout;
- • Ability to add selected programs to exceptions. Auto-switching rules will not work in such programs;
- • Possibility to translate Russian text into transliteration and back. A useful function for communicating with Russian-speaking foreigners who do not have the ability to type text in Cyrillic;
- • Create templates for automatic text replacement. For example, replace “ff” with “I’ll answer later.”
- • Display the currently used layout in the notification area as flags;
- • Setting up sounds to notify about layout changes;
- • Own clipboard with autosave option. Can store up to 30 entries.
Punto Switcher allows you to save all the text typed on the keyboard. The option is called “Diary” and is activated in the settings. There you can also set a password to enter to view all saved texts. Another interesting feature of Punto Switcher is the conversion of text typed in numbers to a number in words. Automatic replacement for an amount is also available. For example, if you select 56-44 and press the hot key, the program will replace the selected text with “Fifty-six rubles 44 kopecks.”
